Jim Hume, Liberal Democrat MSP for the South of Scotland, has secured a meeting with the Director of the MS Society to discuss the future of Leuchie House in North Berwick.
The MSP is holding the joint meeting with colleagues, Ross Finnie MSP, Councillor Jacquie Bell and representatives of the Save Leuchie Campaign.
Jim Hume said:
"The MS Society management team have been fairly clear in their view so far, but what I want to impress upon them is the absolute need to keep Leuchie going for the high dependency users who cannot go on conventional holiday breaks because of their complex physical requirements.
"The deadline of November is simply not enough time to work through a solution, and it's only fair that the Society either finds an alternative provider or allows staff the time they need to work up new funding streams."
