Jim Hume, senior Liberal Democrat and MSP for the South of Scotland, kicked off campaigning for the Euro elections in Lanark. On Saturday (18th April) Libdem activists gathered from all over the South of Scotland to help deliver Euro themed leaflets in the town.
Jim Hume MSP said:
"The Euro elections on 4th June give us an opportunity to really focus on what Liberal Democracy is all about, and this is ever more important as we build up to the Westminster and Holyrood parliamentary elections.
"Last Saturday saw a great turn out of party volunteers from all across the South of Scotland and I believe that the people of Lanark, a town which has never had a Libdem MSP before, will now see that Labour is not the only option when it comes to putting a cross on that ballot paper."
