THORNHILL PUPILS HAVE THE GIFT OF THE GAB IN HOLYROOD

Jim Hume, Liberal Democrat MSP for the South of Scotland, yesterday welcomed pupils from Wallace Hall Academy to Holyrood for the Gift of the Gabs competition.
The Gift of the Gabs initiative is aimed at improving and nurturing communication skills in young people.
Jim Hume MSP said:
"The Gift of the Gabs initiative based in Dumfries is the brainchild of Libby Hammond who believes that there should be some room in the school curriculum for building children's confidence and teaching them practical life skills before stepping out into the world of work.
"The pupils showed a tremendous amount of skill, ability and humour during the competition, and each of them should be very proud of their achievements."
