South of Scotland MSP, Jim Hume, has today recorded his congratulations on the National Youth Choir of Scotland's Dumfries and Galloway Area Choir's achievement of performing at Saturday's official opening of the Scottish Parliament by lodging a Parliamentary Motion.
Jim Hume said:
"This is a great achievement for the Choir which has fifty-five members ranging in age from twelve to sixteen years old.
"The Choir was formed in 2000 and takes in children from local primary schools.
"It's a great pastime for the children giving them opportunities to travel to different part of the UK and meet lots of different people.
The MSP continued:
"I send my warmest congratulations to the Choir and sincerely hope that they have an exciting and enjoyable day."
